School bench in Archbishops Park

• As you know, the Marine Society removed the plaque commemorating the school when building work was completed.

• As the building may be sold next year we decided to delay any decision on a replacement plaque until the new owners are in place.

• We agreed to purchase a new black metal park bench with a plaque.

• It will be positioned to the right of the old school entrance, just before where the cinder pitches used to be.

• We agree that John Isitt will gather views on the wording for the plaque.

• Draft wording on the plaque is the following:-
