Letter from His Grace the Archbishop of Canterbury
Lambeth Palace, S.E.
22nd October, 1906.
Dear Mr. Wood,
I am much interested in the forthcoming book about the Lambeth Boys' School and its heroes. I am sure it is a good thing thus to encourage local records of local worthies. Mr. Hernaman, whose portrait I see on the prospectus, was well known to me, and I had abundant opportunity of realizing the value of his service both to the School and to Lambeth generally. I trust that by God's blessing you may be enabled to continue a like service both in the School and outside it.
I am
Yours very truly,
