Letter to members 7th Jan. 2021

Dear fellow Members,                                                                               

7th January 2021

Regrettably, I write to inform you of the committee’s informed decision to cancel the 

2020 AGM/Lunch booked for 16th April 2021. You will not need repeated the reason for the cancellation so I will not bore you further! 

Therefore, the new focus and hopes of all members and committee will be pinned upon the 2021 AGM/Lunch booked for 15th October 2021.

Those of you who have already paid for a lunch will have the funds allocated to the next event, unless you request from the Treasurer the return of your payment?

The Treasurer has noted that many members have not paid the 2020 subs and asks that you do so as soon as possible. I have attached a form for this purpose so that your details can be updated. Please return to the Treasurer your form and payment.

Once the restrictions are over, we shall of course, resume the ‘Pineapple’ Lunch time meets and the evening meetings in the ‘Speaker.’ 

Finally, it is my sad duty to inform you of the death of a valued long term member and former President of the OLA. John Hewitt (1952) passed away in November 2020 after a brief illness.
